    Growing up an Army Brat!

Hey!!!!! OK, so today i’m going to share my childhood stories with you. For me its gonna be fun going down memory lane. I always wanted to share my experiences and all the different places I’ve had the chance to live in and visit as a child! I have to say I kind of had a bomb childhood. So let me start sharing shall I?! I was born in Columbia,SC in the summer of 1988 and my parents were working but they didn’t have the best jobs so I was about 1 1/2 when my dad decided to join the Army. My mom ( who was pregnant with my sister)…

    Manifestation

Hi! Its officially September, and we are gonna start this month off with the topic of manifestation. We have less than four more months in this year and instead of waiting for the new year to create all my resolutions and goals I thought I’d start now. I didn’t come up with this idea alone, I had a good friend (lol, thank you very much!) give me this idea and I decided to run with it. The power of manifestation is very real. almost six years ago I said out loud that I wanted to be a published author and here I am, a self published author. I wanted to…

    Discovering Me.

Hello everyone! I have been MIA for a while now and I will share with the class why. I recently broke up my first boyfriend since I had my daughter and I decided to do some soul searching and to recognize self accountability within my self. I also wanted to really find what I needed to experience within myself before I date again……… Ok so I did create an eharmony account but quickly realized that I wasn’t patient enough to wait for the perfect match and I just wanted to figure me completely out before I became intertwined with someone else. I know for certain that I want to be…

    Choosing My Soul

Choosing oneself…….not as easily done as it is said but……you have to do it, Right. Lately over the course of this year that seems to be what i’m doing. I’ve been ridding myself of any toxicity and negative energy. I cut ties with people who mean my spirit no good and I’ve focused on myself and my progress. Guys this isn’t easy by far, I have been questioning if I am making the right decisions, if i’m right, if what I chose is hurting someone else? I have run these questions in my mind every step of the way but in the end I’m happier and I feel the weight…

    Breakfast Joy

Eating Breakfast, the food that is not the time of day, is one of my favorites foods to eat but lets face it…..I am far from a morning person. I absolutely hate waking up in the morning…I’d rather sleep in honestly. With my schedule especially who has the time for breakfast? My schedule runs like this: At 5.a.m I wake up shower and get lunches packed and the kids breakfast out (which is normally cereal and milk) Than by 5:15 if time doesn’t move so fast I jump in the shower and get myself dressed, brush my teeth, wash my face and by then Its 5:30 and I gotta get…

    You missed me?

So I have been missing in action for almost two months now and you’re probably wondering what I’ve been doing! If you’ve paid attention to my Instagram then you probably know that I’ve been working on my clothing brand Tribe of Melanin. Well I’ve finally Launched it and I’m so proud of myself and the products I’ve come up with. It took me almost a year to buy my business license, buy my logo, my merchandise designs, creating my online shop, my business social media accounts and so much more. It’s been so hectic but it’s just the beginning of a long road ahead of being a entrepreneur.    In…

    Letter To My Younger Self

A letter to self. Have you ever felt the need to speak to your younger self. To give your younger self reassurance. To you know that everything will be ok. That’s what this post is all about. I’m giving myself to opportunity to speak to myself and hopefully encourage you to do the same. Growing up as a kid I was shy and quiet. I keep to myself and has I got older I began opening up more. As I child I didn’t think I was as pretty as the lighter skinned girls or the mixed/ other ethnicity girls at my school. My hair wasn’t long and struggled just a…

    It’s my birthday!

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Buuuuuutttt since I have to work today I opted to celebrate this past weekend. I’m finally 30 and it feels good, I’m alive, I’m breathing. God gave me another year, another day to live and that’s a lot to be thankful for.  Saturday instead of going to the club like I originally thought about we went out to dinner. Applebee’s was AHH-mazing, the food was great and our waitress was wonderful, I had a great time with family and friends which was all I wanted. I had a half rack of ribs, bacon Macaroni, French fries and mozzarella sticks, which are my fave!! Sunday I woke…

    Online Dating!

let’s talk about online dating! It’s taboo right? People hear those words put together and nearly have a heart attack, but I personally have done it and I love it! If your anything like me you don’t have time to physically go out and meet people. Between work, kids and everything thing else life throws at you, going out just isn’t in the plans. Dating online is fun, safe and you can do it from the comfort of your own home. I get to meet people while I sit on my couch or lay in my bed. I love to read thier profiles and look at thier photos. The swipe…
