BCSeries-The Family Business

Happy Sunday Readers!!!

Ok so let’s dive right into it this. This month my book of choice was Carl Weber’s The Family Business and I have to say I truly enjoyed it. Now I won’t lie I had this book lying around for sometime now but then I saw the show on TV and you know movies and shows are good for the leaving the best stuff out so I opted to read the book first before I watched the show and let me tell you….. I feel completely in love. Now I know what some might say. The storyline is typical and you can guess what’s gonna happen but honestly there is a few twists and turns in the book.

My favorite character so far in the book is Orlando. I don’t know why but I’m truly intrigued by him. Orlando I feel like will grow and evolve the most throughout the series ( it’s a three book series). That’s just my assumption based on the first book, I have yet to read the rest of the series.

I love the character LC because of his family ethic and how he puts no one before them. He will do anything to protect them and I love that about him.

The storyline is however kind of dark. In the beginning the family is presented like an upstanding and respectful family but not long into the book you begin the see the truth. All in all the book was intriguing, captivating and emotional. Anybody who knows me knows how invested I get when it comes to the characters in the books I read. With that being the ending of this book had me completely upset, BUT it will make you want to read the next book.
